Alberta Only Organic Verification

Alberta Organic Producers Association offers a new 'Alberta Only' certificate to producers who meet the special organic criteria.

• Land must be free of synthetic chemicals for minimum 3 yrs.
• Accurate audit trail records must be maintained (field histories, harvest records, inventory & sales records)
• Accurate documentation of all inputs must be maintained (labels of all input products and why used)
• Must undergo an annual inspection
• Must qualify for certification under the Canadian Organic Standards OCIA, EC and Bio-Suisse Standards and the OCIA/NOP Standards
• Must qualify for certification under COR/NOP and OCIA.
• Gross organic sales must not exceed $7500.00 CDN per calendar year
• Product must be sold directly to an end user within the Prov. of Alberta
• Product is not further processed into another product or included as an ingredient in a finished product which is then exported outside of the Province of Alberta.

Cost for this program will be $600.00 plus GST
